About
House of Wisdom
Our Mission and Vision
Our mission and vision is to present the Islamic framework so that every Muslim is equipped to navigate the nuanced topics of today’s society. In doing so, we aspire to revive the legacy of the historic House of Wisdom of the Golden Age of Islam.
Our Strategy
Our strategy to address the unaddressed is through hosting series, intensives, and private discussions which deliver structured material compiled by our scholars.
Our Story
The House of Wisdom began in 2024 as a vision to create a place where the pursuit of knowledge takes precedence above all else. From the start, our discussions revolved around building a space that centers scholars and is rooted in the relentless quest for understanding. We wanted to explore the topics often left unaddressed in the community—issues that people may avoid or feel unprepared to confront. Our founding idea was simple: leave no stone unturned. We committed ourselves to deep analysis, open discussion, and fearless inquiry. This vision was inspired by the historical House of Wisdom, a library and center of learning established during the time of Abu Hanifa, Harun al-Rashid, and Abu Yusuf. In that era, scholars gathered to tackle complex issues, exchange knowledge from across the world, study the tradition to their fullest capacity, and were ultimately able to cultivate great minds like Ash-Shafi'i and Ahmad ibn Hanbal. We drew from that legacy and asked ourselves, "What if the North Atlanta and North Fulton areas had a place dedicated to the same unbounded pursuit of knowledge?"As we move forward, our goal is to continue reviving these rich traditions of scholarship and build a community of thinkers who are unafraid to ask challenging questions, engage with complex ideas, and push the boundaries of intellectual exploration.
